Ashwagandha 500 mg from Pure Encapsulations | Supplement for Occasional Stress and Immune support | 60 Caps, 120 Capsules

A hypo-allergenic dietary supplement made with vegan ingredients. This supplement is best known for its ability to counter the effects of mental and physical stress and support cognition as well as memory function. Ashwagandha, a pepper-family herb, has been extensively used for its ability to promote overall health and longevity for over 4000 years.

The ingredients in Ashwagandha have the potential to calm the brain, reduce swelling, lower blood pressure, and alter the immune system. Withania somnifera is an adaptogenic herb. It belongs to the pepper family. It is a widely-used Ayurvedic herb that has a long, 4 000-year history.

The key component of the Ashwagandha supplement from pure encapsulations is the withanolides, It plays a crucial role in its overall ability to promote mental and physical health.

Ashwagandha was shown to increase the activity of lymphocytes as well as macrophages. It also moderates stress and can improve memory and cognitive function. Additionally, it has been shown that it can support thyroid function and neuroprotection.

In a small clinical trial, this was also shown to be able to support healthy glucose metabolism and lipid metabolism. A double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study involving 42 volunteers showed that a formulation containing ashwagandha could help promote joint comfort. This may be due to the modulation of the cyclooxygenase enzyme activation.

Ashwagandha was traditionally used to support healthy male sexual function. Pregnant women and people allergic to nightshade plants should avoid using this.

(standardized to contain 2.5% withanolides)

vegetarian capsule (cellulose, water)


Dosage:

Pure Encapsulations recommends 1 capsule daily, with or between meals, or as directed by a health professional. 

Precautions:

Not to be taken by pregnant or lactating women. Ashwagandha may be contra-indicated in individuals allergic to plants in the nightshade family. In rare cases, large doses have been reported to cause gastrointestinal upset, diarrhea, or vomiting secondary to irritation. Consult your physician for more information
